Blue potato doughnut (Spudnuts)

Here is a hundred-year-old recipe for potato doughnuts. You will notice that the quantities of the ingredients and the preparation is not very precise. If you try this recipe with our blue potatoes, when raw they are dark purple, cooked they will become blue!


In this highly creative recipe, you can mix your favorite cabbage and try different combinations. We have two different mixes with red cabbage, green cabbage and orange carrot, and another with kohlrabi, orange carrot and raisins. You could even use rainbow carrots to liven up the salad. Go wild!


This recipe comes directly from Syria in the city of Aleppo. It is a creamy, medium spicy sauce that goes well with grilled meats, fish or cooked vegetables. You can also enjoy it with pita bread and raw vegetables.
